PolarMax Adventures – Our Story

It all started with a simple love for being outside — hiking in the woods, fishing by quiet lakes, biking rugged trails, skiing endless winters. Over time, that passion grew into a way of life, adding snowmobiles, motorcycles, and even a few races into the mix. If there was a forest, a river, or a mountain, we were there.

More than 30 years ago, we fired up our first snowmobile and rode into the snowy forests. That first ride lit a spark for adventure that has only grown stronger with each passing year. About 15 years ago, we took it further — guiding and teaching others, privately and through earlier companies, leading to incredible journeys across Scandinavia and Europe.

In 2024, PolarMax Ventures Oy was born. We wanted to share what we love most: real adventures in small groups, away from the crowds, deep into Lapland’s untouched wilderness. For us, true adventure isn’t about speed — it’s about feeling the snow under your sled, the silence of the forest, and the raw beauty of the Arctic.

Today, every tour we create carries that same spirit. We travel responsibly, support local communities, respect nature, and seek cleaner ways to move across the land, following the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) way of thinking. Because wild places deserve to stay wild.
